Hey guys i recently downloaded Audacity Audio recording program and i have a microphone that i want to use but when i click record and talk intot he mic then play it back i cant hear anything, i heard i need to make sure windows can detect my microphone so i go to control panel/hardware and sound/sound/recording tab/ and in there i have micro phone/microphone/ and line in.

this is the order

Microphone
High Definition Audio Device
Currently Unavalible

Microphone

Line In

I have 2 that says microphone why?

so i right clicked the microphone and clicked set as defualt and it said its working so i go try to record something but still cant hear anything so i right click the other microphone one and set it as default but still cant hear nothing so i try using the line in and still cant hear anything? my mic is new so does anyone know a sollution? thanks in advance

also i tried putting the mic to my headphones and played a music video on the internet then played it back i could hear something but if i try to talk intot he mic then play it back i hear nothing......? any help please thaanks in advance
