I have just bought a Netbook on which I would like to load Audacity without having to go online. Is it possible to use my present PC to download Audacity to disc and then load it onto my new Netbook?

I don't see why not; just go to the download page (http://audacityteam.org/download/), download the appropriate package for your netbook, copy it to your netbook, and then open it or run it from there. They're small files; you could just use a USB drive instead of a CD if you want. --Allen

You have a new NetBook which has very limited use without going on the net...and you're not putting it on the net.

Did I get that? I'm just reading this back to you.

Yes, that's right. I got the Netbook mainly because of its small size and it does perfectly for what I want (copying practice songs for my banjo practice when I am travelling in my camper) at the moment and dont yet need to go online which I probably will do eventually.

I have now copied Audacity from my main pc and have it on my netbook OK.

Cheers
