That worked perfectly, thank you so, SO much!stevethefiddle wrote:Probably your best bet is the free format converter "SUPER" (by erightsoft).bigmouth12349 wrote:So, how do I make my file sound like this? Is there a way to uncompress it?
Downloading SUPER is a link jungle, but worth the effort as it can convert most media formats.
As the file appears to be a WAV file (but obviously isn't), it may take a few goes to get SUPER to convert it correctly, but usually it can handle converting audio files to (normal) WAV format automatically.

Re: Import WAV problem
Hello everyone. iv'e read every post because I was also having similar problems. As i tried to put my wav. file into audacity it would put it in but the sound file would be cut off(it would just look like a solid blue bar) at a certain point and all i would hear is a loud burst of static with my music file in the background.
everything in my file was correct. so i downloaded the ffmpeg and nothing changed.
bit rate 2822kbps
audio sample size 32bit
channels 2(stereo)
audio sample rate 44khz
audio format Pcm
after a couple hours of experimenting it turned out that the problem was coming from fruity loops(music making program) when exporting my file into wav. format they ask you to choose the depth(which is):
16bit int , 32bit float(0.24), and 32bit float(16.8)
It turned out that my problem was coming from me choosing the option 32bit float(16.8) As i chose 32bit float(0.24) my problem dissapeared and my music file is now working perfectly in Audacity as a Wav file. for any1 using fruity loops or any program that ask you to chose different kinds of 32bit floats just mess with the other options, find out which one works. and you should be on your way. hope this helps and thanx to the audacity team. i love your program.
