Hi!
Audacity can't import some of my midi. I suppose it supports only specific kind of midi.
Also, it can't open any MMF I have.
However, the big problem is the even the importable midis - it doesn't play them!

Midi is not audio - it is a set of insrucvtions on how to play audio.
Audacity cannot import/read Midi - though I understand that this functionality is being considered by the developers for future incorporation into Audacity. You may want to go to the Audacity Wiki feature request list and add your vote for it there.

On 1.3.6 Audacity CAN open midi files (most of them..), and it doesn't convert them to wave.
It does show the notes structure. Still, it doesn't play anything, even if there's an audio track too.
Also, the cursor seems to be like you can move the notes etc., but yo can't.

Well, yep. It helped..
They say there that: "Released versions of Audacity can only import MIDI files to view them"...

Thanks!!
