Cassette to Computer Help
As of today, I'm new to Audacity. I successfully recorded one side of a cassette onto my computer, but when I tried to stop and start to record the other side of the
cassette, the record button wouldn't work. Help! Very frustrating. What am I doing wrong??? Thanks.

Re: Cassette to Computer Help
Let me play this back to you. You got to the end of the first tape and you pressed Stop in Audacity. Is the Record button gray? When I do that, Stop and Record, Audacity starts a whole new track from the left of the timeline, not the end of the existing show.
You can jam the second show into the end of the first one by pressing Pause at the end of the first tape instead of Stop. Flip the tape over and then press Pause again to continue recording
In Audacity 1.3, you also have the Append Recording (Shift-R) which will jam a new show at the end of the existing one. You can be in Stop and that tool will work anyway.
