Suddenly won't export multiple

I suddenly have a problem with Export Multiple. On my last session I tried to save and got the message " cannot export audio". It will, however, save with export as a single file. I tried saving a previous project that I successfully had saved as export multiple and I got the same message. Any thoughts?

Sudden, odd computer insanity can be caused by your drive filling up. Is it? How much room do you have and how big is the drive?

At this point we need to know your operating system and exactly where you are trying to save the files. Also, are you using any characters in the labels other than letters, numbers, underscore and dash?

Windows 7 - c:usersnamedocumentsfolder namename 1.wav Names consisted of numbers and letters only. I tried to re-export (multiple) a project I did successfully a couple of days ago and it also would not go past the 1st label. I was, however, able to do an export only on this project. Thanks

Just for fun I re-downloaded Audacity, saved it to a new file, tried to export multiple and got the same results.

After an unsuccessful attempt to Export Multiple, open the Audacity Log ( menu item Help > Show Log...); in the log window which should open select menu item Log > Save... and paste the resulting text into a reply here (use the "Code" button so formatting is preserved).

You might also want to reset your configuration: reset the Audacity preferences by editing audacity.cfg as described at http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Preferences#stored
but please do so after posting the Log.

Just for the sake of having complete information, are you using 64- or 32-bit Win7, have you installed SP1 and if so was it just before the problems started. Also, exactly which version of Audacity are you using (see menu item Help > About Audacity... ) give us the full x.y.zz-a|b version number, build date and configuration (Unicode etc.):

Using Windows 7 64 bit, always used sp1 with audacity. Don't see any option to save log. Don't understand "code" button

It saves itself. Audacity keeps a record of events.

While you have Audacity open, Top Menu Bar > Help > Show Log.

Copy and paste that to this forum. Select "Code" on the forum page because if you don't, our systems might try to make the words look "pretty" and hide or damage some of the information we need.

After you click "Reply" you will see a row of buttons above the text entry field:

when you use it the text between the [c o d e] and [/ c o d e ] will not be automatically formatted by the BBS software.

Seeing your Log from before you exit Audacity might really help us help you.
