export for embedding into a pdf [splitted]

Post by HELPMEPLEASE » Mon Jan 17, 2011 2:54 am

HELLO EVERYONE, MY NAME IS RENEE, I NEED HELP. I AM IN AN INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM.

1. USING AUDACITY, I NEED TO EMBED MY SOUND RECORDING INTO A DOCUMENT THAT WILL BE COVERTED VIA ADOBE ACROBAT PROFESSIONAL TO A PDF PROFOLIO DOCUMENT.

2. I ALREADY RECORDED THE SOUND FILE WHICH IS A NARRATIVE, BUT I CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO EMBED IT INTO A PDF FILE.

3. THE SOUND FILE WAS SAVED ON MY DESKTOP ON MY LAPTOP.

4. HOWEVER, SINCE I CAN'T DOWNLOAD THE FREE ADOBE TRIAL ANYMORE ON MY LAPTOP, I NEED TO SOMEHOW COPY THE SOUND FILE , HOPEFULLY TO A JUMP DRIVE
BECAUSE I AM TRYING TO DOWNLOAD THE ADOBE FREE TRIALS ON ANOTHER COMPUTER. I HAVE TO USE ADOBE PRODUCTS TO TURN MY DOCUMENTS, WHICH ARE
ALSO ON MY JUMP DRIVE INTO PDF PORTFOLIOS. I HAVE BEEN UNSUCCESSFUL THUS FAR, PLEASEHELPME SOMEBODY. THANKS.

Did you really save a "sound file"? Audacity projects are not sound files and will not play on any media player. You need to Export your project to a file in the format appropriate to embed in the target software.

See: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Audacity_Projects
http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/File_Export_Dialog

Splitted from: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 27&t=51321

Wasn't related to the original topic in any way. OS not mentioned so I splitted to general discussion forum.

helpmeplease, writing all in caps doesn't get you faster help (it actually makes it harder to read your post), nor does posting in another unrelated topic...

What format are you exporting to and what exactly is not working?
Include as much details as you can in your post (Audacity version, Operating System, Equipment used, etc).
Please post your question in the appropriate forum (regarding audacity version and operating system).
