I've just gotten audacity, and I'm a bit confused.
I have a WAV file that I've tried to import into audacity,
but when I import the file, it just makes this weird squeaky noise, like a tape recorder being rewound.
I downloaded the off vocal off of my ipod, using a download app, but it is definatly a WAV file, I converted it using the app (I checked the "proporties" on my computer).
Am I doing something wrong? Or is my computer messed up somehow?
I have Windows XP. Please help!

Re: WAV file makes weird noise when imported
It may say it's a WAV file, but WAV is just a container format and can contain just about anything.
