You are using the wrong version of Lame. See here: http://audacityteam.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=9175

I installedthe newer Lame as suggested. The same problem is still happening. When I try to 'export multiple' audacity crashes.

The new version of Lame works fine, but a new problem has arisen. When recording from a vinyl using an ion deck the pause button in audacity does not work. The stop button, however, does. I've uninstalled 1.3.7 and reinstalled it as well as rebooting my computer but still no luck. Any suggestions?

becky,

no idea why this doesn't work - a workaround that exploits a new 1.3 feature world be to fit the stop button - and then to recommence recording hit Shift+Record or Shift+R - doing this in 1.3 will restart recording in the original track rather than starting a new track.

Not sure, but this may be due to a bug in 1.3.7 where "focus" is lost. If that is the cause, then it has been fixed in 1.3.8 alpha, and so should be correct in the next beta release.
