Hello, I have audacity 1.3 using windows 7 I have a diamond xtreme sound 7.1/24bit sound card. Once a week I "timer" record a radio program that is live streamed over the internet, when I play back it sounds like it's in a tin can and sometimes like it's under water. Is this because it's streaming and is there anyway I can nclean it up either in the playback or is there something I should be doing in the record mode? Any help is appreciated!

The recording quality with "Timer" recordings should be exactly the same as normal recording.
If there is a noticeable sound quality difference between the sound that you hear playing the stream in your browser and playing back the recorded audio then there is most likely something set up incorrectly in your sound card settings. Check in the sound cards mixer application that all effects are turned off, that the recording source is set to "Stereo Mix" (may be called "Mix" or "What U Hear" or something similar) and check that any unused input playback settings (such as "Mic") are muted.
