Help, walk through

Hi, Im new to this so I need someone to help me through this. I want to record a streaming radio show from on line. I tried a test twice but nothing plays back.

I am using windows7.

I log on to the radio station web site and click the "listen now" tab. Then I bring up the audacity program. I was told that there is a drop down menu on the mixer tool bar, and to choose "wave out" as the input source. I do not find this tool bar.

So Tried just pressing record but I dont get anything. Can anyone help? Any instructional video?

It's difficult/impossible to give exact steps due to differences from one machine to another due to differences in the sound card hardware and sound card drivers.
