Make sure the picture you want is displayed on your screen. Press Print Screen (PrtScrn). Open the Windows Paint program. I think it's actually called "Windows Paint or Microsoft Paint." Edit > Paste.
Cut out all the parts you don't need with the cropping tool (I'm guessing here) and export as JPEG, low or medium compression.
Then follow the above steps to post on the forum.
I'm very pleased the forum allows easily posting clips and pictures. It makes explanations so much easier.

There's not really much point. The developers are working on the current and future versions, not on old versions. To upgrade you only need to install the current version over the top of your existing Audacity 1.3.x version (though you may un-install the old version if you prefer.
Take care to keep backups of any additional plug-in effects or other modifications as they
may be overwritten/deleted (depending on the system and how you install).
