ID3 version in Audacity Beta

Does anyone know which version of the ID3 metadata tags is used in the beta version of audacity. The dialogue box to choose the version number does not seem to be in the new version and I require ID3v1. How would I select this?

IIRC it is ID3v2 - and you are right AFAIK it is not resettable in 1.3.x

You may need to find an external converter package which will give you more control over settings than the Audacity plugin - export from Audacity as WAVs and pass these through the converter. You should be able to find a free one on t'interweb.

The only way Audacity Beta will give you ID3v1 metadata tags is via the command line.
