suse 10.3 install issues

installed using the one-click option from opensuse site
but it will not launch

when instigating from command line this is the result:

audacity
audacity: error while loading shared libraries: libmspack.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory


what do I have to do

please be gentle I am new to Linux

It looks like Suse have missed out something in the package.
I'm not sure how package management works in Suse, but perhaps you could look to see if you can install "libmspack" separately, then try installing Audacity again.

installed libmspack and now have this error:

audacity: relocation error: audacity: symbol _ZTV16wxWindowListNode, version WXU_2.8 not defined in file libwx_gtk2u_core-2.8.so.0 with link time reference

what next please?

This is getting beyond me. It looks like the Suse build is broken.

Which version of Audacity are you trying to install?
Have you seen this :
