just curious, I 'm trying to set a timer recorded program. Once the date, timer on, timer off and select ok, Audacity crashes on Kubuntu gusty 7.10.
I actually got this to work one time in a full screen mode. I have no idea if this is even important, just the way it happened. Anyone else have this happen?
Doing a manual record in stereo, the left channel record shows signal, the right has no output. During playback, both channels are properly output.
Beta ver 1.3.4 (timer record)

Can't comment on the Linx/Unix variant - but on Widows XP-HE it works fine (except the interface has some litlle glitches - e.g. th waiting to record dialog box is still present long after the recording has finished)

Same in xubuntu. Fortunately it's a feature that I never use.hgfire wrote:Once the date, timer on, timer off and select ok, Audacity crashes on Kubuntu gusty 7.10.

Re: Beta ver 1.3.4 (timer record)
I have had the same problem with Audacity 1.3.4 on Ubuntu Hardy Heron since last summer. Once you set the date, timer on time, timer off time and select ok, Audacity just shuts itself down. I keep hoping an update will fix it but so far I haven't seen any updates.
Re: Beta ver 1.3.4 (timer record)
Audacity is now at version 1.3.7 beta and that bug is now fixed (along with several others).
It doesn't look like the Ubuntu developers are going to be updating Audacity in the Hardy repository, but you can either try building Audacity from the source code, or download the deb file from the Jaunty repository. You may find that some dependencies also need updating.
