Audacity Forum

When I downloaded Audacity and chose Russian as the language, my program opened with question marks instead of Russian or English....I wanted to change it back to English, but could not because I did not know what to press. So I deleted the program from my computer and re-downloaded it. But it still shows: ??????? instead of Russian text. And I don’t have the option of choosing a different language anymore. I just want it to be in English text now. How do I do this?

You need to delete the Audacity preferences which should be located:
~/Library/Preferences/audacity Preferences

If you delete the entire "/audacity Preferences" then Audacity will be reset to day 1 and when you next start Audacity you will be asked (in English) to select the language.
