Re: Recording and play back

I never thought this would be so complicated! I installed Soundflower. Remember what I want to do: Listen to YouTube songs through my earphones and create an mp3 file. If this isn’t possible, just let me know and I can quit now. There are a million combinations of things I can select, but which ones? So here goes, I will only list Soundflower 2 channels and not 16 channels.
Under system preferences sound, input: internal mic, line, Soundflower (2ch); output: internal speakers, Soundflower (2 ch).
Audacity, preferences, audio i/o, playback device: core audio: built in output, Soundflower (2ch); recording device, core audio: core audio built in mic, build in input Soundflower (2h).
Quality: default sample rate 44100 HZ, default sample format 16 bit.
That’s it! Thanks for the help.
