Locks up my sound completely
I have a brand new iMac computer that I've had for almost a couple of weeks. I was forced to delete Audacity. Every time I opened Audacity, it would lock the sound on my computer. This never happened on my old iMac computer. Why does it do it? I had to restart my machine every time. Please tell me what the problem is, I love Audacity and how could I fix the problem?

Try upgrading to Audacity 1.3.7

I can picture you downloading the wrong Audacity. The older G4 machine took Audacity 1.2.6. Your newer Intel iMac takes Audacity 1.2.5.
D'Oh!
It gets worse. Audacity 1.2.5, Leopard, and Intel Mac is a known unstable combination. Trash Audacity. Go find your audacity.cfg and trash that.
Get Audacity 1.3.7 or whatever's current. Once your Mac is upgraded past a certain point, the older 1.2.5 stops being useful.
