Audacity 1.2.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.

Mac 0S X 10.3 and earlier are no longer supported but you can download legacy versions of Audacity for those systems HERE.

Batch record with Audacity? Multiple prompts !

Post by DJRobi » Tue Mar 03, 2009 10:05 pm

I am a voice over artist and narrator with a telephony gig. I am trying to find out if Audacity can import a script and help me to "batch-record" for lack of a better term.
I have used software - for a PC - that imported the script and even named each individual prompt recording - as long as the script is in correct format. I am now trying to find something similar for the Mac user.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I can't recall ...but I'm using a Mac now.
I used it a few years back on a PC that I no longer own.

Are you aware of anything like that for the Mac?

No, but maybe somebody else will jump in. Not knowing what the original software was puts a serious crimp in the search--especially special purpose software like that.

Thanks,
I have now found something for Mac called "VoxOver" and it imports scripts.
I'd love to see a batch recording feature for Audacity too.
