Can't export (create a .wav or .aiff document) - solved

Hello,

I just installed audacity 1.2.6 - UmixIt version (downloaded the "audacity-macosx-ppc-1.2.6a.dmg") and the application doesn't allow me to export any document in any format. I can open the dialog window to export, but the "save" button is not selectable.

I have a Mac PPC G5 with OSX 10.3.9

The problem was that the software did not let me save on the root of my hard disk

In Audacity, there is a very significant difference between Export and Save, but they should not be gray.

Applications > Utilities > Disk Utilities > Select your system drive > Repair Permissions.

Restart Audacity.

If that doesn't work, trash the Audacity folder...

Users > Etienne > Library > Application Support > Audacity

Restart Audacity.

If that doesn't work, trash the Application and support files and the above folder and get Audacity fresh from...
