Lost audio

I tried searching for this but could not find it on the forum. I am new to using audacity and used it to take about five hours of notes on lectures. I imported about 25 files and painstakingly labeled the lectures. When I opened the file there was an error message, but I just clicked ok. Now I have all the labels but the audio cut out after track 13 or so. I can just repaste the audio, but then it shifts all of the labels I created to the right. Is there anyway I can line up the three hours of labels I have with the new audio (or recover the audiofiles)? I tried searching for the lost audiofiles on my computer with no success. I think the easiest is to just re-import the audios, but I NEED these lined up with the notes or else it is no good.

Thanks!

<<<I am new to using audacity and used it to take about five hours of notes on lectures.>>>

Lets use better language. You used Audacity to capture a live lecture performance on your laptop.

<<<I imported about 25 files>>>

You missed a lot of important steps in the middle there. After your live capture, you Saved your Project, right, and then Export As WAV to get a real sound file. Audacity Doesn't Save sound files.

I would be opening up my live capture Exported WAV file and selecting a portion of the lecture, Export Selection. Name it Biology_200901031000.wav. That's what lecture, the date in international format (2008 01 03---Saturday) and the time in 24-hour clock 1000 (10:00 AM).

Let's see how much of this I didn't understand.
