First time user

Just need the assurance I have hard wire hookup correct.

Using a home turntable stereo system and a Mac PPC I am going to do the following.

1. Take the Audio (L-R) OUT from my amplifier and connect it to the Audio IN port on the PPC Mac
2. Set Audio control panel to external source.
3. Launch Audacity, hit record and start record.

Follow instructions for everything else.

I'd put a 2a in there. Click once inside the Audacity record meters and they will wake up and meter your show without going into full record. This is useful to avoid clipping and overload. Play some representative samples of the loudest part of the work and make sure none of it ever touches "0" on the sound meters.
