How to jump to a particular time

Sorry for what is probably a ridiculously basic question, but I am stumped.

I have a long (~90 minute) recording that I want to split into multiple smaller files. If I understand things correctly, I can do this by using "labels."

If I know at a particular time point I want to add a label, is there a way to quickly move the playhead to that point? I've tried entering the time into the "audio position" box at the bottom of the screen, but I can't seem to then get the playhead to jump to that position. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks.

You can't do this in 1.2.x, but you can in the Beta 1.3.x

In 1.3 the developers have added a new toolbar called the "Audacity Selection Toolbar". Amongst other things it shows the current cursor position (in a variety of selectable formats) - you can use this tool bar to set the cursor time you want and then press play.

And yes, this is what you need to do - see this page in the Wiki: http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php? ... ate_tracks
