Bubbling During loud recording

Post by willz_royal » Mon Sep 29, 2008 8:12 pm

I normally use the unstable beta, and this is never a problem, but as i needed to make an urgent acoustic/singing recording for my girlfriends birthday (oh the soppy old dog), i downloaded the stable version to save time re downloading the beta.

When the sound gets too loud it distorts, but this does not happen in the beta version. Does this mean it isnt my mic and can be solved post recording? or am i screwed as this was my last shot

any quick help, well, any help, is appreciated

Will

What's the peak level like? Does it push up against the top/bottom of the track? If it does, then you've recorded it too loud. The ClipFix plugin may help if you are lucky, but it depends on how bad the distortion is.
