Splitting one long recording into several shorter files.

Post by dahobo » Wed Jun 15, 2011 10:16 pm

Hi there,

When I split a file into shorter files using "add label at selection", or command + b tool, I always get about two extra seconds of recorded music at the end of each file. The result is that two seconds double-up. Is there something in the preferences which will disable this, what I imagine to be a, safety tool? I just want to have a smooth recording of multiple files from a 90-minute performance.

Thanks in advance!

You've posted in the Audacity 1.2 part of the forum. Are you really using that version?
Look in the Audacity Help menu > About Audacity. What version does it say?
