Hi,
I have successfully been able to record from my cassette to the computer however any background noise ie. children playing in the background etc. is heard as well. Is there a setting so that only what is on the tape is heard? I have the microphone on the Grace Digital Audio unit turned off.
Thanks
Pamela

Re: background noise while recording
You should probably look around in Preferences and make sure you're not recording the laptop's built-in microphone.
Apple > System Preferences > Hardware > Sound > Input.
Audacity gets it's sound from the computer, so whatever the computer is doing is what gets recorded.
