Audacity Forum

I just downloaded Audacity 1.3.12, set up prefs in it and on my Mac Mini with Snow Leopard. Im trying to transfer from a mini cassette using iMic. I hit record and something is being recorded, but I don't know what. I am providing no source(cassette player is not running). And I can't hear it because I get no monitor volume. What am i doing wrong?

Try Transport > Software Playthrough.
