Audacity won't load, OSX 10.4.11

Hi there, first post. Made a quick search but didn't find a solution. I recently downloaded the newest version of Audacity, but my Mac won't load it. A generic cross out sign appears over the application icon, and a message pops up saying that "Audacity cannot be opened because it is not supported on this system". Is my version of OSX too old?

We should know what your machine and OS is. I'm typing on an Intel Mini under OS-X 10.4.11.

Check this page:

You need 1.2.5 if you have an Intel machine or 1.2.6a if you have a PPC machine.
Better is to get 1.3.12 from here:
http://audacityteam.org/download/beta_mac which is a universal binary (Intel and PPC) and work on 1.4.1 and above.

All I needed was the PPC version, thanks guys.
