Record from Vinyl and Play in iTunes?

I am not a computer whiz and am hoping someone can write me simple step-by-step instructions. I bought and audio-technica AT-LP120-USB turntable (which came with Audacity software). I own a MacBook Pro running Mac OS X Version 10.5.8. I have been able to record tunes in Audacity and save them as as files in Audacity, but have been unable to convert them into files I can play in iTunes. I have downloaded the Lame software a couple of times, but when I try to export the music file from Audacity, I get a message saying "cannot locate LamLib". Does anyone have step by step instructions for a novice? Please don't point me back to the Wiki - I have spent two four-hour sessions patiently trying to follow the steps published in the Wiki.

If you already have recordings in Audacity, you can put a "Label" (Command-B) at the Beginning of each song and then File > Export Multiple > Microsoft WAV. Forget MP3. Audacity will create a numbered pile of music files, one file per song. Drag the pile over to iTunes.

See this tutorial that I wrote for the 1.3 manual: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Samp ... _to_iTunes

And this one may help you: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Samp ... gitization

This whole set of tutorials is likely to be a useful read for you: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Tuto ... iscs_to_CD

Also I would recommend that you upgrade to the latest Audacity 1.3.12 which you can get from here: http://audacityteam.org/download/
