Audio tracks synced on my pc, but not my mac

On my old Dell laptop I used audacity for a long time and loved it.
Recently I got a new MacBook and for some reason, when I record, the tracks get recorded a bit later. I realize that other people have that issue but I haven't been able to find a solution.
