Hi,
Just installed Audacity off a CD that came with the ION usb turntable. Everything about the software worked fine, except the labeling. I would type a track title, and then there was a long delay before it appeared in the label field. While waiting, the famous beach ball spun and spun. Is this a memory issue, or is there a setting i should turn on or off to improve the efficiency of data entry? Oddly all the processes that you would think to be memory intensive (noise reduction, 45 to 33 1/3, exporting multiple) worked quite quickly.
I am using a less than a year old Mac Titanium laptop.

Audacity 1.2.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.
Mac 0S X 10.3 and earlier are no longer supported but you can download legacy versions of Audacity for those systems HERE.

Re: Miserably slow entering labels
You will almost certainly have soem version of 1.2.x supplied from ION - I would recommmend downloading the latest 1.3.x version suitable for MACs from the Audacity site: http://audacityteam.org/download/beta_mac
Although labelled as Beta, 1.3. is now very stable - I use it daily and never bother with 1.2 any more. Among lots of good new features, 1.3 has far superior label handling capabilities.
