adding track marks

Hello, I am a new user with a Mac. How does one add track marks to a new live recording? Thanks in advance for help.
In Audacity 1.2.x, you can do Project > Add Label at Selection when stopped, or Project > Add Label at Playback Position while playing or recording.
In Audacity 1.3.x those commands are under the Tracks menu.
