i cant make the audacity to play a track with sound, simultaniously ,while i m recording another track with voice.... the thing is that the sound only comes out when i am singing and when i stop the voice it also stops the recording and the play function of the other track... i don t know why they seem to be conected to the same comand.. they are not individual and independent from eqach other...
please answer me i would be very greatfull if you do so.... thanks.....

Two problems. You should install Audacity 1.3.12 from here...

...and stop using Audacity 1.2, although you don't have to uninstall it.
Then, drill down to Audacity > Preferences > Recording and turn off Voice Activated Recording. That should solve those two immediate problems.
