Re: Starts playing when trying to save.
What version of OS X are you running? On my 10.5.8 PPC system, typing certain letters into the file save dialog box will trigger the actions associated with those keys: p = play, r = record, etc. There is no fix for this, as 1.2.5/6 is not longer being patched. I strongly suggest you upgrade to 1.3.12. It may be "beta", but it is much more stable than 1.2.5/6 on 10.5 and up. I use it every day.

Re: Starts playing when trying to save.
Using 10.6.4 OSX and 1.2.5 Audacity. Apart from the occasional crash, this save thing is the only problem I have.
Perhaps I will try the Beta soon.
Thanks.

Re: Starts playing when trying to save.
Do yourself a favour and install 1.3.12. You can have both versions on your machine at the same time, just not run both at once. 1.2.x projects will open in 1.3.12 but not vice versa.neilf wrote:Using 10.6.4 OSX and 1.2.5 Audacity. <<<Using 10.6.4 OSX and 1.2.5 Audacity.>>>
On some machines (mine) that is a profoundly unstable combination -- even though it's the recommended one. The others are worse -- except Audacity 1.3.12.
