When I open a sound file in audacity, it comes up with a ruler from 0 - +/-1 on the left. How do I change it to indicate db, as that what stuff like the compressor is using.
I am on OS 10.5
If you could also email me to [email protected], I would appreciate that.
Thank you
Thomas

Black down arrow on the left > Waveform (dB).
It may also help if you made the work surfaces really tall by grabbing the bottom and pulling down.

That illustration also uses View > Float Meter Toolbar.

Works great, thank you Koz. Also figured out how to get the large windows!
