I just installed Audacity 1.2 and have found the folder on the CD with plug-ins. One of them - SilenceMarker - I really want to use, but cannot quite figure out how to install it. The tutorial Wiki says to put it into the installation folder, adding "On Mac OS X, it is usually under Applications", but I cannot find this folder anywhere.
So ... how do I install the plug-in?
Thanks in advance.

Audacity 1.2.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.
Mac 0S X 10.3 and earlier are no longer supported but you can download legacy versions of Audacity for those systems HERE.

Re: How to install SilenceMarker plug-in
When I install Audacity, I don't follow the party line. I make an Audacity folder on my desktop and drag it into /Applications. Then I explode the Audacity program image on the desktop and copy everything, all the folders, programs, everything to /Applications/Audacity.
All the extensions and plugins after that all go to one place. Plugin programs go into the /Applications/Audacity/Plugins folder.
Every time Audacity launches, it looks around its home folder and recognizes all of its plugins and extensions. I put lame into /Applications/Audacity --the base folder. I know the installer tells us you can put lame anywhere, but trust me, it's far better to have everything in one place.
