Automatic record stop?
Forgive me if this is an overly-newbie question: Is there a way I can have Audacity 1.2 automatically stop recording after x seconds of silence, i.e., the end of one side of an LP I am recording? Or do I have to manually stop the recording?

Re: Automatic record stop?
None that I know of. Further, 1.2 has no timers, either, so you can't set it for one hour and go fishing.
1.3 may have timers, you might want to investigate that. I'm not at all hands-on with 1.3.
Silent Sense isn't the cool tool you think it is because the ends of records are rarely completely silent. There's that tick where the leadout groove meets the terminal groove.

Re: Automatic record stop?
