Audacity 1.2.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.

Mac 0S X 10.3 and earlier are no longer supported but you can download legacy versions of Audacity for those systems HERE.

Prosonus Firestudio Not reading input

Post by bobdole12340 » Sat Aug 28, 2010 6:27 pm

Helllloooo!

I recently downloaded Audacity and I'm trying to get some voice overs recorded.

I went to the preferences and changed my input device to the presonus firestudio.. I also did this in the Macs System Prefences too.

In the original software that comes with firestudio I'm getting a mic reading.. In audacity I can't get anything.

I downloaded some other software and I can get a reading (and record sound) from the mic. However I want to use Audacity for all the settings i can use for better quality!

Any idea how to get this working?

I do, or as least I have a good start. Stop using Audacity 1.2. Audacity 1.2 is not supported on newer Macs.

You can install both versions on your Mac if you want, but only use one at a time. Audacity 1.3 projects will not open in 1.2.
