error message
"error while opening sound device. please check the input device settings and the project sample rate" i do not understand either of these directions. HELP. i just started using usb turntable to record old lp's, it's worked! today i stopped it in middle of record and now i get this error message. please advise.

Welcome to a very large and wide-spread club. Audacity has troubles with USB audio services to begin with, and the turntables just make your Mac unstable. By "unstable" I mean magic. "It worked yesterday." "It likes Glenn Miller and hates Harry James." "It waits until three minutes into the piece and then crashes." "Half-way through the record, it gets really noisy."
We recommend unplugging the USB cables and transfer your records analog--if your Mac will do it. Does your Mac have a Line-In connection? That's the little circle with two black arrows pointing in.
