Opening Saved Material gives Error 2
Last night I saved an audacity sound file I had been working on all day which I periodically saved throughout the day. This morning, I tried to open the file and I received an "error 2 message: no such file or directory." Once I pressed "okay," I could click on sound clips and can hear the sound but the message "error 2" repeatedly comes up. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do? Is there a glitch or a bug in the system? I desperately need this sound, if it can be retrieved without the error message please let me know. Thank you.

Did you repeatedly Save your work, or Export As... ?
"Save" in Audacity does not produce a sound file. It produces a Project which is a cloud of files all managed by the AUP file. Those things inside the _DATA folder aren't sound files, they're Project Assets which get turned into your show by the AUP file.
People have your complaint when they "Clean Up" or "Organize" their show by moving original sound clips around after they start their project. I wrote this up for somebody who got killed last week.
