Help!!
I used audacity to record a 4.5 hour DJ set.
Unfort. it got stuck at 4.5 hours, the GUI got stuck and upon pressing STOP i could not replay anything, not rerecord more, not save, not sav as, not export as Wav or AIff, nothing.
Simply stuck looking at the Waveform recording. Then Audacity crashed after me trying out some things.
Now the Folder with the .au files is still intact, 6.5GB large.
how can I reconstruct the originally recordet waveform?? If i import audiofiles it puts them underneath!!! each other, noth reconnects them to the desired mix.
WHAT CAN I DO!!!!???
This is a catastrophe!! 6000 little .au snippets of the mix, but how can I get them back together to one for AIFF export???? is ther a way??
Recordet on MacBook 2.0ghz Intel with Leopard, all Software fully updated.
thanks & regards...

Audacity 1.2.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.
Mac 0S X 10.3 and earlier are no longer supported but you can download legacy versions of Audacity for those systems HERE.

Re: Audacity crashed on long recording, how to remake wavefo
This version of Audacity doesn't have very good recovery tools. In your case, Audacity crashed before it could create the AUP file to manage all those thousands of capture clips. Nobody has ever convinced me that you can go in later and put the show back together, but there is a link inside that link for all the information I was able to find.
This happens to a lot of people, although I don't know of anybody else adventurous enough to go 4-1/2 hours without stopping to export a WAV.

Good luck.
