Audacity Forum

I apologize if this seems like a simple question, but it's required for a class of mine. I was hoping to use Audacity instead of DSP Quattro that we use in class, so I have to learn may way around Audacity a little bit more. My question is that how can I use markers, and how can I quickly familiarize myself with Audacity and compare that knowledge with DSP Quattro?

Any responses are appreciated.

If you're used to a program with markers, I may have some bad news. Audacity has "Labels" not markers, and whatever you want them to do, they don't. They will appear as Post-It Notes so you can find your way back to an edit later (but not automatically, they're not In and Out points) and you can use them to automatically cut a single long performance into short songs for export.

I believe that's about it. What did you want them to do?
