I've been trying to figure out how to reduce the size of the MP3's I exporting. the Source audio is 128 and I'd like to export it as at 64 just to get the size down. I have gone into Prefs > File Formats > Bit Rate and set it to 64. However, when exporting it is still 128, so I'm guessing that bit rate is not for exporting.

Is there a way to cut the Bit Rate when exporting?

You need to restart Audacity for some settings to take affect.
