multi-channel input with FA-66

Hi,

I've recently purchased an Edirol FA-66 Firewire audio interface. I've worked with Audacity before using an M-Audio audio interface without any problems, but I was only recording in mono. My goal here - and the reason that I bought the new interface - was so I can record multiple channels at once, i.e. vocals in one channel and an instrument in another, separate channel.

The Edirol audio interface seems to be correctly set-up and is sending sound to my computer from multiple inputs. However, in Audacity I can only manage to access the first channel, which is pretty frustrating. Since I've never done any kind of multiple-track-input recording with Audacity, I'm wondering if there's something obvious I'm missing. I've tried changing the number of input channels to more than one, but if I do that I get an error about the I/O settings. The bit rates are matched at 44.1.

Any suggestions? Does this audio interface not work with Audacity? I know the information is getting into my computer, and I just need help getting into recorded in multiple tracks in Audacity.

Thanks in advance!
