hi, i listened to the audio samples and they sound fine through my speakers....i record and it sounds muted on playback...any advice?

Played on what? played in Audacity or something else?

How did you record it? did you "Import" the audio, record it with a microphone, record from "line in", or what?
What do you mean by "muted" - silent? a bit quiet? muffled?

What did we tell you the first time?

Dig into the Audacity Preferences and tell us what the first two Quality entries are; Sample and Format.
