Okay,
Got version 1.2.6 of Audacity. LameLib-Carbon-3.91.sit. Went to Audacity>Pre>File Format>MP3 and it found LamLib on the desktop which I opened. Now how do I get the MP3 on to audacity? When I try to open LameLib I don't have anything on the desktop, is that right? It's just a tool for Audacity to use?

Okay, disregard that last note, duh! I'm so fried from trying to figure this out that I forgot what to do next. Aud. file menu, Export file as MP3 and tada! I did it! ( with your help, thanks alot and Merry Christmas!) I now have TSO's Wizards of Winter as my ringtone! If you haven't heard them yet I highly recommend them. We saw the live show last week, best live show I've ever seen and I've seen a few. Anyway, thanks again.

Sometimes that's all we do. "Did you remember to plug it in?"

"Oh, for [email protected]#$%."

There's such a thing as being too close to the problem.

Don't hesitate to post questions. We like the ones where the user has done all the legwork up to the last step which is a mystery.

Oddly enough, the next most popular are the ones where we just can't figure out the problem. It doesn't work, but there's nothing wrong. Those are the ones we think about in the shower. Fortunately, we don't get a lot of those.

The least popular are the posters who did no leg work and expect us to step them through each keystroke to create a show. We generally send them to the wiki pages and program instructions.
