Problems splitting one long track into many smaller ones...

Hi. I was wondering if you could help me. I just started using Audacity for some audio cassette tapes that I want to transfer.

After splitting my one long track into many smaller tracks, I export it to iTunes (on my Mac) then I listen to the files but the tracks are not split up correctly on iTunes. When I listen to track one, the beginning of track two will be played, then be cut off, then immediately start playing track two, then the beginning of track three will start playing while on track two and so on. Looking on the time of each track, I noticed that all the tracks were either 5 or 10 seconds long so I wonder if there might be some setting that is determining the length of the track, even though in Audacity, I have already split it up.

You must be using 1.3.10. This is a known bug where Export Multiple and Export Selection round up the time of the exported files to the nearest 5 seconds.

Download the latest 1.3.11 nightly build from here: http://www.audacity.homerow.net/index.php?dir=mac%2F

Scroll to the bottom of the list, click on the folder link to get to the file. Just replace your copy of 1.3.10 with the 1.3.11 version from the .dmg.

You should then be able to open your project and to the Export Multiple again and everything should be fixed.
