Hello,

I've been looking in the Audacity cite.. but couldn't find if the program will work by voice activation, and using the system's mic only, need it for class and I don't want it to be recording the silence spaces..
Running OS-X SL ver. 10.6.2

Thank you

http://manual.audacityteam.org/index.ph ... sport_Menu

At the bottom of the Transport Menu in version 1.3.10 are "Sound Activated Recording (on/off)" and "Sound Activation Level".

With Snow Leopard you really want to be running 1.3.10, not 1.2.x.

That's OK. The ones that make us crazy are the ones we can't fix.

Not a problem. If you were looking in the 1.2.x manual you wouldn't have found it, because it doesn't exist.

Just one more question.. what would be the main reason of the beta ver. instead of the stable 1.2.5 ver. ?

I'll take that back,.. I guess just the amount of bug fixes is a good enough reason.. and the feature that I need :-)

Thanks again.

It's a little more serious than that. Intel Macs under Leopard or Snow Leopard no longer fully support Audacity 1.2.
