Hi
I purchased an ION USB turntable. The Audacity code from the CD installed OK and I can
record.
When I try to save as MP3, I get the message Audacity does not support MP3... message. I checked
the FAQ and downloaded Lame Library v3.98.2 for Audacity.pkg. I installed this file, and it ends up
as mentioned in /usr/local/audacity/lib/libmp3lame.dylib.
When I again try to save as MP3, I get the same message as before. I attempt to search for the
library and it is not found, even with ALL Files selected.
I copied the file to the Library folder. I can then find it and open it but then save fails with
a "Could not open MP3 encoding library...". I tried copying the dylib to LameLib and selecting
it, with the same results.
I am running Mac OS X, when I try to find out the Audacity version the About line is grayed out.
Thank you in advance
Frank

Re: Read FAQ, still Lame
Update to Audacity 1.3.8 and see if that fixes it.
