Failed download to Mac OS10.4.11

After downloading to MAC O.S. 10.4.11, I received this message: "cannot open -not supported on this system"
What do I do?

Is there a way to download the earlier version, that I am more familiar with? Is it a Mac 10.4.11 issue?

You can try 1.2.5 or 1.2.6a but you must get the right one for your machine or it will not work.
However I would recommend 1.3.7 which works on both Intel and PPC Macs. From a user point of view there is little difference.
1.2.x will soon be obsolete (and no longer supported).
